Stunning rock! Matrix is extremely lustrous Sphalerite, in undamaged, very complex crystals, translucent and deep red-brown color. The Fluorite cube is 18 mm. across, with really rich translucent purple color and slightly concave edges, characteristic of the location. There are even a couple of little scalenohedral Calcites, but overpowered in the picture by reflections off the Sphalerite (look carefully along the right edge). From the Elmwood mine, Carthage, Central Tennessee Ba-F-Pb-Zn District, Smith County.
